ZTA introduces Sanganai online booking
ZIMBABWE Tourism Authority, ZTA is offering an Online Appointment Booking System ahead of its 9th edition of the Sanganai/ Hlanganani World Tourism expo 2016. This digital system allows buyers and exhibitors to view and select companies they would like to meet, and confirm their meetings before Sanganai kicks off on June 18 2015.
Last year, more than 6 000 meetings were held during the expo using the Sanganai Online Appointment Booking System which proved to be a key platform in linking exhibitors and buyers so they maximise their time during the showcase. The ZTA has taken into consideration the feedback received from last year’s users and improved some of the system’s shortcomings.
Sanganai Online Appointment Booking System is already up and running, hence allowing online appointment booking. Through the new system exhibitors are encouraged to register online as well as book meetings with the visiting international buyers and other attendees.
The ZTA has deployed this electronic management system so as to improve business interaction as this service gives buyers and exhibitors the platform to plan their Sanganai/Hlanganani meetings, hence get optimal business value from the tourism fair.
The booking system is free of charge to all Sanganai exhibitors, buyers and media. Users only need to set up a profile that includes detailed information about their company. The Executive Director of the Zimbabwe National Convention Bureau (ZNCB) Mrs Tesa Chikaponya has urged all those tourism companies that have registered to exhibit at Sanganai/Hlanganai 2015 to immediately start planning for a successful showcase through the Online Appointment Booking System.
“Success at Sanganai/Hlanganani is determined by the number of deals generated by exhibitors through face to face meetings with the buyers. This is only possible if meetings are booked in advance. Exhibitors need to be pro-active and engage a gear up in order to get business value,” said Chikaponya. She added that exhibitors should avoid ad-hoc meetings as these usually yield less value as compared to planned meetings. The buyers have been uploaded online and exhibitors only need to create an account on the Sanganai website, where they will get a password upon completion.
